I’m officially looking forward when it comes to fashion.
Call it denial, but I’m not looking at knits, coats or snoods any more, even though I’m still actually wearing them every day.
Instead, I’m thinking about and planning what I’ll be wearing this Spring and Summer.
I may also be dreaming of sunny days, line dried laundry, picnics, BBQs, cocktails, holidays and upcoming festivities.
Though as Rachel Hunter once so sagely observed, it (Spring) won’t hippen overnight, but it will hippen.
Right?
So in preparation, over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been trawling many of my favourite fashion retailers’ sites as I’ve waited for their SS16 ranges to drop. And oh, there are some absolute rippers coming through.
In today’s post, I’m sharing some of my favourite boho finds so far, which I’ve styled up ready for the first day warm day of Spring.
Ready? Here’s the first outfit …
ABOVE, CLOCKISE FROM TOP LEFT: Louen Hide Billie Bag, $39.95 from Adrift; Frida Off the Shoulder Maxi, $179 from Bohemian Traders; Shuh Flying Fish earrings, $69 from Gorman; Sofia Cruz wedges, $169.95 from Style Tread; Lipstick in Blossom Pink, $16.95 from Witchery.
The new range at Bohemian Traders is all sorts of fabulous with plenty of colour and print – two of my favourite things!
This simple yet flirty off the shoulder maxi took my fancy though as it’s a great dress for a range of occasions.
Dress it up with an espadrille wedge or heels and statement earrings as I’ve done here, or dress it down with leather thongs, big sunnies and a top knot.
I’m a fan of earrings over a necklace with OTS styles too so nothing competes with the feature of this style – the decolletage.
Playful and colourful accessories add another playful layer to this on trend outfit too.
Now onto our second outfit.
ABOVE, CLOCKWISE FROM LEFT: Ella Dress in Tulip, $145 from Lazybones; Azzure earrings, $59 from Bohemian Traders; Silver Sandals by Mollini, $99.95 from Style Tread.
I’m a huge fan of Lazybones and have been for many years.
I adore their pretty vintage and boho influenced dresses as well as their gorgeous ceramics and home wares.
Their new tulip print immediately caught my eye with it’s blue and green tones against the cool grey. You’ll be happy to hear this print comes in three different styles of dresses too.
These striking but simple BT earrings pick up the blue in the print while the leather braiding of the sandals adds some texture and interest.
Lastly, our final outfit features a beautiful maxi skirt from one of my latest discoveries – Spell Design from Byron Bay.
ABOVE, CLOCKWISE FROM TOP LEFT: Scoop Hem Tank, $34.95 from Country Road; Babushka Scarf Skirt, $199 from Spell Designs; Sunset Highway Denim Vest, $59.95 from Dotti; Aisha Slouchy Hobo, $59.95 from Sportsgirl; Nola Casual Sandals, $139.95 from Jo Mercer.
You’ll find a gorgeous range of printed dresses and tops at Spell, as well as accessories and home wares. There is also a bridal range.
I’m loving their prints and soft, drapy fabric and this pretty babushka print which comes in several styles from dresses to camis, blouses and shorts. I can’t do the side boob revealing midi dresses but this maxi skirt is a winner regardless of your side boob situation. And yes, mine is diabolical.
This pretty maxi skirt is the business paired with a simple tank and sandals. A cropped denim vest and a hobo bag complete the look.
