I’m sure I’m not the only one who was excited to see the launch of Bohemian Traders’ new autumn range: Desert Wanderer recently.
Following on from the launch of their premium denim range, Desert Wanderer is a well edited collection of easy, every day boho loving frocks, skirts, pants and tees as well as some really lovely statement pieces with all my favourite boho details – tassels, lace and embroidery.
If you’re a more classic dresser, The Desert Wanderer range also features classic stripes and a rich autumnal palette of mustard, navy, black and a rusty red.
I was thrilled to be sent two pieces from the new range recently – the Midi Striped Dress in Navy and Cream, $139, and the Oversized Scarf in Desert Flower, $79 – which I’m wearing below.
If, like me, you’re always on the look out for versatile pieces that can be dressed up or down, this dress is a winner, winner chicken dinner.
Made from a substantial cotton, this long sleeved dress is perfect for cool Autumn days with a pair of thongs, trainers or sandals.
Come high Winter, simply add tights and/or your favourite ankle boots for easy every day style.
By simply adding a contrasting wrap or scarf, you can totally change up the look too. I can never go past a boho floral with stripes either.
If you’re wondering, the sizing of this dress is on the generous side – I’m wearing a Medium where I’d normally take a Large in BT.
I’ve also tried on another dress in the new range (the Pia Midi dress in black) but my usual Large was too big on me. Conversely, in the Lace Prairie dress (which I’m wearing here), a bestseller last season, I’m definitely a Large as it’s a much neater cut, so bear that in mind when you’re choosing which size.
The flattering cut of this dress – a combo of the tapering at the waist and the high low hemline – elevate this dress from your usual throw on frock too. It still feels casual enough for every day but it’s definitely in more interesting territory. In a world of gazillions of striped dresses, this version is refreshing indeed.
This dress also comes in a black and white stripe and in three block colours – navy, black and plum, all of which would be super versatile for the cooler months with boots, tights and a denim jacket.
I’m also seriously loving the gorgeous desert flower print of this scarf – there are a number of pieces in this print including two dresses which I am seriously eyeing off. This scarf will also work well with jeans, a navy knit and tan boots too.
