If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you’ll know I regularly feature pieces from independent label, Bohemian Traders.
And that’s because BT is a label that consistently manages to create very wearable, comfortable but fashion forward clothing each season.
From quality t-shirts and t-shirt dresses through to their premium denim range and embroidered frocks and tops, Bohemian Traders seems to get it right each season.
Their Spring range, Blossom Days, is no exception, so I was thrilled to receive the pretty Embroidered Sophie Dress in Tie Dye*, that I’m wearing below.
Firstly, let’s talk about the fit.
I’m wearing the Medium and it’s a comfy, relaxed fit on me, helped by the fluted sleeve and it’s soft a-line shape. (If you’re comparing the fit of Bohemian Traders’ frocks, I took a Medium in this AW16 striped BT dress but a Large in this new striped singlet dress).
I’m 5’9 and it sits just above my knee – the sweet spot for me.
It’s super comfy too, with it’s super soft tie dye rayon. There’s no crunchy, starchy fabric going on here.
This might be a weird thing to comment on, but I must make mention of the arm holes. They are nice and big, allowing for plenty of ventilation without major side bra exposure. For me, this makes this a great dress for a warm day.
Then there are the details …
How pretty is this contrast floral embroidery detail? Against the indigo tones of the tie dye, it’s so striking.
I’m loving the pretty tassels too, which look fab and add some more interest to this pretty dress.
On a practical note, as well as the tassel tie detail to centre front, there are two concealed hooks below the tie which could be undone for breastfeeding.
Finally, the contrast piping detail adds that extra bit of somethin’ somethin’ that elevates this frock from an everyday throw on to something special.
* Big thanks to Bohemian Traders for gifting me this gorgeous frock.
