What a great week that was!
Thank you SO much to everyone who played along with #SNSCOLOUR last week – whether in the privacy of your own home or if you shared your daily outfit pics over on Instagram (you can see all the pics on the #snscolour hashtag here).
It was so fab to see you every day, to get to know YOUR style and to see you encouraging each other and having a ball in the process.
If you’re just catching up, every day there was a colour prompt and the challenge was to incorporate that colour in to your outfit.
And once again, this very simple concept gave people a reason to shop their own wardrobes, to mix things up and to see how other people incorporated the colour of the day in their outfits.
The feedback I received during the week was how much fun people were having and how surprised they were that doing something so easy and simple breathed new life into their every day outfits. Someone even asked if I could run this every month!
I wonder if there’s one thing you might have taken from #SNSCOLOUR 2016.
If I had to pick one take home message for me, it would be to practice this method of intentionally mixing things up every day. I’m going to try to be more intentional about picking something new, old or different. I’m going to try to avoid wearing the same things day in, day out and develop a habit of really shopping my own wardrobe.
If you have very limited options, this might translate to trying to wear what you’ve got a bit differently by mixing up footwear and accessories or even something as simple as the color of your lippie or how you wear your hair.
Finally, here are my outfits from each day along with the collages of all your outfit pics. It’s interesting to see some themes and similarities as well as the differences and unique ways people dress and style themselves. So much great outfit inspo here!
